Riverview is located in Charlotte County, in southwestern Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Riverview being the only incorporated city in the county, as well as the county seat. The population of Riverview is approximately 71,050 residents. About 43% of the county’s citizens are within the 55+ age group. There are many parks and recreational areas here, 28 marinas and the county boasts over 12 miles of Gulf coast beaches. The Charlotte Harbor estuary is considered the most beautiful and unpolluted estuary in Florida. Charlotte County consistently ranks as one of the top places to live according to Money Magazine. Riverview was ranked the second best place to live by Money Magazine in 1996.
