Batavia, Illinois

Batavia was founded in 1833 and is the oldest city in Kane County and neighbors Aurora, Illinois. It has a population of 24,000 plus residents. Batavia has preserved its rich history which can be seen in the rich stone in which some of the buildings are still made, brick lined sidewalks, charming shops and more. On the other hand, Batavia has been thrust into the world of science by way of the Fermi National Accelarator Lab located on the outskirts of Batavia which attracts physicists from around the world.
