Chesterfield

Chesterfield is a second-ring western suburb of St. Louis and is the largest city in west St. Louis County, Missouri. As of the 2010 census the population is 47,484 which is the 14th largest city in Missouri. Chesterfield celebrated the 20th anniversary of its founding in 2008.

According to a 2007 estimate, the median income for a household in the city was $92,977, and the median income for a family was $117,092. Males had a median income of $74,934 versus $39,217 for females. The per capita income for the city was $43,288. About 1.8% of families and 2.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.8% of those under age 18 and 1.7% of those age 65 or over.
