Arapahoe County, Colorado

Arapahoe County was named for the Arapaho Indians who had inhabited eastern Colorado.  Located in the center of Colorado, Arapahoe County is home to the following communities: Aurora, Bennett, Centennial, Cherry Hills, Deer Trail, Englewood, Glendale, Greenwood Village, Littleton and Sheridan.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimated that the county population was 584,948 in 2011, a 2.3% increase since the 2010 census.
