Deltona

Deltona is located halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Deltona was founded in 1962 as a retirement community, and was named “deltona Lakes.” Rapid development of housing unites since its opening led to a major population boom, eventually surpassing Daytona Beach as the largest city in Volusia County. This rapid development has also led to an almost entirely residential cityscape.

Deltona has year round events for all residents and visitors. During the summer you can enjoy concerts in the park, annual Easter egg hunt with over 25,000 eggs, skateboard competitions, 4th of July events, national night out where you can meet local sheriff, fire department and others to help support local anti-crime programs, or just relax watching the sunset on the beach.
