The City of Rogue River is found just over 9 miles south of Grants Pass Oregon. Located in Jackson County, the City of Rogue River sits alongside the actual Rogue River, a fishing and rafting favorite which draws vacationers from around the world .
Originally known as Woodville, Oregon. The settlement operated the regional post office from 1876 until 1912, when they changed their name to Rogue River.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Rogue River had a population of 2,216 in 2016 up from 1843 in 2000.
The median income for a household in Rogue River was $23,419, and the median income for a family was $34,583. Males had a median income of $32,115 versus $20,764 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,789. About 9.9% of families and 13.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.5% of those under age 18 and 6.2% of those age 65 or over.
