Lake Keowee

Lake Keowee is a Christmas tree shaped man–made reservoir is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains giving the nature enthusiast a nice advantage to  hiking and camping. The 18,500 acres of water and 300 mile shoreline make Lake Keowee having pure and clean water makes it perffect for boating, fishing, water-skiing, swimming, camping and picnicking.  Keowee is a Cherokee name roughly translated as “place of the mullberries” extends from Oconee County to Pickens County.
